Two-valve battery receiver
In brown Bakelite cabinet with Bakelite knobs. For medium and long wave reception. The moulded cabinet was made by Birkbys Ltd., Liversedge, Yorkshire. This particular form of Bakelite was called "Elo".
The left knob operates the wave length switch; the knob in the middle is used for tuning (fine tuning with the centre knob). The right knob is used for reaction control.
The receiver has a detector tube with reaction and an LF tube.
There is a row of 12 binding posts at the rear for the different voltages, antenna and earth. (from left to right: output-, output+, HT2+, HT1+, HT-, GB-, GB+, LT+, LT-, E, AE2, AE1).
