Superheterodyne portable radio
Dark brown bakelite case and ivory plastic grille. Release date October 1949. The radio covers 185-560 meters and 1070-1900 meters in two bands. The circuit switch is turned on automatically when the roller-type shutter covering the scale is opened. The receiver has an internal frame aerial. The LT unit is a dry 1.5 volts battery and the HT battery consists of two 45 volts units. The price of the radio was £13 11s 4 d.

Judging by the number of survivors, the radio either wasn't popular or many were damaged because of the material used (bakelite and plastic). Bush made later portables out of something more sturdy.
