Tuning condenser

With Bakelite and celluloid case and metal scale (0-180°). Made by the American firm Wm. J. Murdock Co., 40, Carter Street, Chelsea, Massachusetts. Rotor and stator are made of aluminium.

The condenser, that can be used as a separate module in combination with a receiver, has 24 plates and a value of 500 pF. The catalogue number is A368. There was also a 43 plate condenser (catalogue number A366) that has a value of 1000 pF.
These condensers were made from 1916 until the beginning of the twenties.
In The Netherlands, the condenser was sold for f 13.50.
